Can I edit the original text?
Supported PDFs can reuse their original font and text position. Some font encodings and complex PDF structures are not editable yet; the app explains when a correction cannot be applied.
What about scanned PDFs?
Choose the printed language and run OCR locally. Recognized words become editable. Font matching and paper repair are estimates, so check the preview. Handwriting and every scan layout are not supported.
Does anything need an internet connection?
The app and its assets must load first. Additional OCR language models may download from the official model repository and be cached in your browser. Those model requests do not include your PDF.
Will Word export keep my layout?
Word export creates a genuine DOCX with the text. It does not preserve the original page layout, images, tables or fonts. Choose PDF to keep the document's page appearance.
